Headache & Migraine Care in Pembroke Pines

Not all headaches come from the same place, and that matters. Tension-type headaches, headaches referred from the neck, and migraines each behave differently and respond to different care.

Our role is the mechanical piece: the neck joints, posture and muscle tension that can trigger or amplify head pain.

Patterns we look for

  • Pain starting at the base of the skull and wrapping forward
  • A band-like squeeze across the forehead or temples
  • One-sided head pain with light or sound sensitivity
  • Headaches that follow long screen sessions or poor sleep positioning
  • Jaw clenching and tenderness through the temples

Mechanical contributors

  • Restriction in the upper cervical joints
  • Trigger points in the suboccipital and trapezius muscles
  • Forward head posture increasing load on the neck extensors
  • Prior neck injury that changed how the head is carried

This page is general information, not a diagnosis. An exam is how we determine what applies to you.

How we approach headaches

  1. 1

    Sort the headache type

History and exam separate neck-driven headaches from other patterns, and identify anything that belongs with your physician or a neurologist.

  2. 2

    Treat the neck contribution

Adjustments and soft tissue work are aimed at the upper cervical segments and the muscles that refer pain into the head.

  3. 3

    Reduce the triggers you control

Screen height, pillow choice, hydration and breaks are boring and they matter. We give you specifics, not a lecture.

Questions we get asked

Can chiropractic care help migraines?
We address the neck-related component that can accompany migraine. We do not claim to cure migraine, and we coordinate with your physician when medical management is part of your care.
How many visits before I know if this helps?
We set a review point at the start — usually a small number of visits — and reassess honestly rather than continuing indefinitely.
Which headaches need urgent medical care?
A sudden severe headache unlike any before, one with fever, confusion, vision loss or weakness, needs emergency evaluation, not an adjustment.
