Arthritis and Joint Degeneration Care in Pembroke Pines

Degenerative changes on an X-ray are common and, on their own, are a poor predictor of how much pain someone has. Plenty of people have wear on film and feel fine.

So we treat the person, not the picture. The question is which stiff or overloaded joints are actually producing your symptoms, and what can be improved around them.

Typical presentation

  • Stiffness first thing in the morning that loosens with movement
  • Aching that worsens after prolonged inactivity or heavy use
  • Reduced range in a specific joint — turning the head, squatting, reaching overhead
  • Grinding or crunching sensations with movement
  • Weather- or fatigue-related flare-ups

What we assess

  • Which joints are restricted versus which are simply worn
  • Muscle weakness that leaves joints poorly supported
  • Movement habits concentrating load on one segment or side
  • Whether the pattern looks inflammatory and needs medical co-management

This page is general information, not a diagnosis. An exam is how we determine what applies to you.

How we approach arthritis

  1. 1

    Separate wear from cause

We test joint by joint to find what actually reproduces your pain, rather than attributing everything to degeneration seen on imaging.

  2. 2

    Restore what still moves

Gentle adjusting, mobilization and soft tissue work target the restricted segments, using force levels appropriate to the joint's condition.

  3. 3

    Load it well

Strength and mobility work is how arthritic joints stay tolerant. We build a program you can keep doing at home.

Questions we get asked

Is adjusting safe with arthritis?
Yes, when technique matches the findings. For sensitive or advanced joints we use low-force instrument or mobilization methods instead of manual thrusting.
Does exercise make arthritis worse?
Appropriately dosed exercise generally helps joint pain and function. The dose matters, which is why the program is built around your exam.
What about rheumatoid arthritis?
Inflammatory arthritis is managed medically. We can support mobility and comfort alongside your rheumatologist, and we will say so when a referral is the right first step.
