Physical Therapy in Pembroke Pines

Passive care changes how a joint moves today. Physical therapy decides whether that change survives the week. This is the part of the plan where you do the work and we coach it.

Programs are built from your exam findings — the weak link, the restricted joint, the movement that reproduces symptoms — not from a printed handout.

When physical therapy becomes the priority

  • Pain keeps returning to the same area after it settles
  • You feel better in the office and worse again by midweek
  • Weakness, instability or a joint that feels like it gives way
  • Returning to lifting, running or a sport after an injury
  • Long-standing stiffness that needs strength, not just mobility

Practical details

  • Home work is kept short and specific — a handful of exercises, not an hour.
  • Wear clothing and shoes you can move in.
  • Some muscle soreness while progressing is expected; sharp pain is not, and we adjust.
  • Therapeutic exercise is often combined with adjusting or soft tissue work in the same visit.

This page is general information, not a treatment recommendation. An exam is how we decide what applies to you.

How physical therapy works here

  1. 1

    Test, do not guess

We screen movement, strength and control to identify what is failing under load rather than assuming a generic weakness.

  2. 2

    Coached in the office

Every exercise is taught and corrected in person first, so you are not learning form from a video at home.

  3. 3

    Progressed on a schedule

Loads and difficulty step up as you tolerate them, and we re-test to confirm the change instead of adding exercises endlessly.

Questions we get asked

How is this delivered?
Therapeutic exercise and movement retraining are provided as part of your care plan here, alongside joint and soft tissue work, and coordinated with the rest of your treatment.
How much do I have to do at home?
Usually a short daily set. We would rather give you three exercises you actually do than twelve you skip.
Do I need it if the pain is already gone?
Not always, but if the same problem has come back more than once, the strength and control side is usually the missing piece.
